Lesson 1

During lesson 1 we have gone through and looked at open and closed questioning. Open questioning lets the interviewee answer and drives the conversation more while closed questioning keeps to shorted, yes and no type answers. With the questioning it is best, from my limited experience, to start off informal with the questioning and then move on to the open questions about whats interests they might have or what their greatest/newest achievement is.

We have also tested what types of recording are best for what situations and have practised such recording methods. Generically microphones are better than using just your phone BUT it depends on the quality of the microphone.
